What to Expect in Therapy

Couples therapy at Thriving Life Therapy Group Practice is a structured, supportive space where both partners are heard, respected, and guided toward meaningful change. In our work together, we’ll explore the patterns that keep you stuck, strengthen communication skills, and rebuild emotional safety and connection. We focus not only on what isn’t working, but also on what is — the strengths, shared values, and moments of closeness that can be expanded. Sessions are typically 60-75 minutes long, active and practical, with tools you can use between appointments. Our goal is not to take sides, but to support the relationship as a whole and help you move from conflict and disconnection toward clarity, teamwork, and renewed intimacy.

Growth in couples therapy doesn’t happen only in the session — it happens in the moments between sessions. Practicing what we discuss is essential to strengthening your relationship. This may include communication exercises, reflection questions, or intentional connection practices agreed upon during session. Consistent effort outside of therapy helps turn insight into lasting change.

Meet Our Founder & Lead Therapist

Hi, I’m Nadiège Honoré-Wellington
Founder and Lead Therapist at Thriving Life Therapy.

I’m a Counseling Psychologist and workshop facilitator with over a decade of experience supporting individuals in improving their mental well-being. As the founder of our group practice, I provide clinical oversight and supervision to our team of skilled therapists to ensure every client receives the highest quality care.

Our practice is dedicated to helping women, couples and teens take charge of their mental health, step out from the heaviness of anxiety, depression, and emotional distress, build healthy relationships, and live happy, thriving lives.

Therapy with us is about building your strengths, achieving your goals, and improving your overall wellbeing. We take an empowered approach: the goal isn’t for you to sit on the couch for years, but to engage in the work that leads to real relief and lasting change. We provide online therapy as well as walk-and-talk therapy.

When I’m not supporting clients or guiding our team, my self-care includes feeding my soul, enjoying a good curry meal, exercising, and staying connected with loved ones.
